Two turkey buzzards sharing a tree with what I think may be a crested caracara. If anyone can confirm, please do!

  1. I have confirmation that the bird on the right is indeed a crested caracara. South Texas is one of the few states in the US where they can be seen. Here’s some info from allaboutbirds.com: A tropical falcon version of a vulture, the Crested Caracara reaches the United States only in Arizona, Texas, and Florida. It is a bird of open country, where it often is seen at carrion with vultures.
